About the forum

This is where all residents can get to know each other and the committee. You can discuss any concerns about the Triangle or bring up any ideas you might have.

How to use the forum

Registering

To register, please contact and supply your name and address.

Posting a message

The Forum is divided into sections. To post a message, choose the appropriate section and click on "post new topic". You will see a blank field to type your message. After typing click on "submit".

Replying or joining in a discussion

When you read a message there is a blank field at the bottom of every topic which you can use to reply. Alternatively if you click on the "reply" in the box to the left of every message, this also sends a reply but will quote the text of the message you are replying to.

Email notification

If you would like email notification of when a new message has been posted on a particular topic, click on "Subscribe to This Topic" which you will find above each topic or below your reply box.

Learning the ropes

There are various help topics in the first section (ABOUT THE FORUM) of the forum. Here you can learn how to add a small photo of your self (Avatar) or add an automatic signature to all your messages. Please do not be emabarrassed about asking in FORUM SUPPORT what you think are very obvious questions - you’ll be surprised how many people will thank you!

At any time to get back to the main index click on "Forum Index" or the "back" button of your brower.

Forum Rules

  1. You must be a resident of the Oakmount Triangle.
  2. You must use your real name and the email address which you have registered with OTRA. (Email addresses are not made public)
  3. No discussions about politics or religion.
  4. Residents of all nationalities are welcome to participate, however all messages must be in English.
  5. You may not post anything offensive, abusive, aggressive, obscene or of an inflammatory nature. This includes anything which appears to be or could encourage such posts. These will be removed and the user will possibly be banned. Please note that this forum is available to all ages, sexes, races, religions, orientations etc.
  6. Do not post any marketing material without prior permission, apart from single used items which can be offered for sale in the "Yard Sale" section.
  7. Do not link to or encourage use of pornography, gambling or any illegal sites
  8. Please do not post the same message in more than one discussion forum
  9. Please always start a new topic for a new question or message.
  10. Disagreements are fine, but please try to stay on the debating rather than fighting side of disagreements
  11. You can attach images to your messages, but uploads should be no wider than 550 pixels and maximum file size 100KB, Files should be medium to low compressed jpg or gif format.
